About Susy

Susy Newman has been shaping clay since her first ceramics class in high school, where her love for pottery quietly took root. Today, that passion lives on through Inspired Life Pottery—a reflection of both her creativity and her journey.

Susy works with a range of techniques and firing methods, including traditional firings, raku, and pit firing, creating pieces that are both functional and expressive. Each piece carries its own character, shaped by hand and with intention.

When she’s not at the wheel, Susy is a licensed professional counselor, walking alongside individuals and couples as they discover beauty and growth in their own lives—much like clay transformed by the hands of a Master Potter.

Susy spent nearly 20 years living in Europe and over a decade in Denver, Colorado. She is a proud wife, mom of two, and a joyful “Gammy” to three grandchildren.
